I love you. www.imdb.me/livefearless IMDB.COM: www.imdb.com Tanya Roberts came from modest beginnings in the Bronx, New York, the daughter of a pen salesman (Irish) and a mother (Jewish) who were divorced before she reached high school. Tanya dropped out of high school at age 15, got married and hitchhiked around the country until her mother-in-law had the marriage annulled. She met psychology student Barry Roberts in New York while waiting in line to see a movie. A few months later, she proposed to him in a subway station, and they were married. .. Beautiful love story.

Question by : What would I be considered politically?
I’ve taken a few political quiz but it each one seems to have a different result. What would I be?

Social:

Gay Marriage should be legal. With access to the same benefits that would come with a heterosexual couple. They also should be allowed to adopt children.

Abortion: A women should have the right do what she wants with her body. Unless it is a late fetus, then the baby has the right to live. I do think we need more humane methods of abortion.

Stem Cell Research: It should be legal. But the government shouldn’t fund it; because of the issue is to controversial and it’s unfair to make people pay for something they don’t believe in.

Drug Legalization: I support the complete legalization of Marijuana. I also support Heroin, cocaine etc. Furthermore, I believe that people with drug addictions should have easy access to rehabilitation. No one should be sent to jail for doing a drug. End of story.

Military draft: No draft. If a country doesn’t want to fight a war- it’s not worth fighting.

Affirmative Action: Only within reason.

Military action: We need to get out of the middle east. It’s not our business over there. What we did in Libya was fine, though. Just assisting a country isn’t evil. But Iraq was a mistake. The terrorist’s will only stop when we leave them.

Death Penalty: I don’t trust the government with making a mistake. So I’m against it.

Evolution and Intelligent design: I think my profile picture says enough about my views. I believe fairy tales like Creationism should be left out of public classrooms. Only evolution should be taught (unless they want to give kids a completely unbiased look at Creationism and evolution. In which case any sane minded person would choose evolution).

Illegal Immigration: We need to make it easier for immigrants to become legalized.

Economic:

I support a generally free market. With justified government intervention on occasion. But I’m against bailouts and such. Businesses that don’t produce good products have to die out.

At the moment, obviously we should tax the rich. As long as the money goes to something productive. We should be concerned about our debt at the moment. We should be cutting a lot of social programs. We need to raise taxes and cut spending. We just need to pay of the debt. In our current situation, this is the best thing to do.

In a situation where were preferably not in debt, I think the government should have social programs and such. I would prefer something resembling the Nordic Model. I think the government should be concerned with making society more peaceful and better. Meaning giving drug addicts the right to rehabilitation and even if it means the occasional infringement of privacy (nothing ridiculous, within reason).

If paying higher taxes is the price for a more peaceful society, I support it. As long as we have a system that minimizes the potential for politicians to abuse it.

Protective tariffs and protectionism is sometimes justified. We need to get jobs here in America.

As for welfare, only enough to literally let a person survive. Not enough for the person to live “comfortably”.

Social security should be minimized at the moment. And if it is brought back, it must have much better planning.

Everyone should have the right to some degree of health care. Although, people who can afford should be allowed to have more. But everyone should have a good amount.
I left out gun control. I think we should revise the 2nd amendment. That being said, I still support the general right of people to bear arms.
Alright, I’ll state myself more clearly.

At the moment, in our situation, social programs should be cut and taxes should be raised.

If we aren’t in debt, then I support more well managed social programs and such. It’s an opportunistic matter.
@? I don’t think I’m a communist because I never suggested the complete and equal redistribution of wealth.
@Dudeman6 it seems to work pretty well for Sweden.

www.unicann.com Largest Medical Marijuana University Launches with Former Vice Mayor of Oakland as Chancellor. This is only the beginning of a BIG movement and Unicann is preparing students for the future. Stay informed and get all your Cannabis Education at http Leo Bazille University of Cannabis Chancellor Leo Bazile University Chancellor The University of Cannabis (UniCann) announces its’ official launch as the largest school for marijuana education with over 30 different classes, 10 academic departments, a graduate learning program and capacities to seat over 3000 students in an online or physical classroom setting. UniCann strategically partnered with iGrow, the full service marijuana superstore, to house its main campus in Oakland at the 15000 square foot facility, where the first nearly sold-out seminar is taking place on May 22nd and May 23rd. As the legalization initiative in California’s November ballot approaches and marijuana becomes more mainstream, hundreds of thousands of interested people from all walks of life eager to learn more about this flowering industry are turning to marijuana education as a starting point. With marijuana education only available in a few states and many interested cannabis patients confined to their homes, “establishing the first online medical marijuana University seemed like the right thing to do” says 25-year old founder Dhar Mann. “Every day I’m amazed at the people I meet wanting to learn more about the cannabis industry …

if you can be there, you’re allowed to take pictures.

so why, if i was standing on a sidewalk (which, i think, is still public property), did an employee from this parking garage tell me i wasn’t allowed to take pictures of their ‘private property’? this is a misinformed (and kind of unreasonable) request, but even if there was some compelling reason for this parking company to disallow pictures (corporate espionage may be rampant in the temporary car storage racket), what could this picture possibly do to endanger their interests? beats me.

i was so stunned i stared for a minute or two, quietly steaming (i have a touch of ladytimes crusties, so i thought better of lighting into them – it probably would have been inappropriately severe), and then moved on, determined to google what my rights as a photographer (and their rights, as a representative of a corporation) are.

and this is what i found. it’s american (and written by a layman, not a lawyer – so take this as a general rule, not legal advice), but i imagine it’s rather similar to the guiding principles in my fair country, which also values freedoms of the press, speech and expression. sorry, parking attendant person, you’re just wrong. you will be receiving a printed copy of this paper tomorrow – enjoy the read!

1500 Americans die every day from cancer. lmgtfy.com “The active ingredient in marijuana cuts tumor growth in common lung cancer in half and significantly reduces the ability of the cancer to spread.” – Harvard University “The potential benefits of medicinal Cannabis for people living with cancer include antiemetic effects, appetite stimulation, pain relief, and improved sleep. In the practice of integrative oncology, the health care provider may recommend medicinal Cannabis not only for symptom management but also for its possible direct antitumor effect.” – National Cancer Institute Marijuana cures cancer — US government has known since 1974: The Federal Government of the United States has funded several studies on Cannabis and the active components in Marijuana, which have repeatedly discovered Cannabis’ Anti-Tumor properties. A couple of these studies include one conducted in the early 1970′s showing a reduction in the spread of various cancers injected into lab rats. In 2006 a study aiming to find the link between Marijuana smoking and cancer concluded that there is no evidence of any kind of causal link between the two, with even some suggestion of preventive qualities. New research shows that marijuana components fight an aggressive form of brain cancer. And the media says — nothing, again.
Question by mcgomery2001: Why wont the us government legalize marijuana?
After years of research and study by some of the worlds best doctors the conclusion is that marijuana poses no threat when eaten rather than smoked. Smoking is detromental!,no matter what one is smoking. Canada has made marijuana for casual use in some areas of their country legal. The USA’s own Surgeon General has agreed that marijuana should be made legal for casual use. Marijuana is not a gate-way drug like our goverment propoganda wants us to belive. Is it not better for this harmless plant to be made legal, controled by the government(such as alcohol & tobacco)and taxed, rather than left in the hands of street dealers to make millions of dollars on? Are we as responsable adults not capable of making up our own minds? A street dealer does not care about the age of the user, the government does.

I am writing a research paper on legalizing marijuana and one of my focuses is that it would decrease, if not eliminate, the drugs coming in from Mexico. Does anyone have any sources or information that could help me?

Best answer:

Answer by craig d
actually much of the marijuana sold in the USA is grown in the USA – Kentucky and California are two huge suppliers – you need to watch marijuana inc it plays on TV all of the time on CNBC and other similar channels

I would focus on the failure of prohibition and the extraordinary costs spent on the war on drugs for something that is proven to be less harmful than alcohol and tobacco, not to mention the medical benefits

www.unicann.com Largest Medical Marijuana University Launches with Former Vice Mayor of Oakland as Chancellor Leo Bazile University of Cannabis Chancellor Leo Bazile University Chancellor The University of Cannabis (UniCann) announces its’ official launch as the largest school for marijuana education with over 30 different classes, 10 academic departments, a graduate learning program and capacities to seat over 3000 students in an online or physical classroom setting. “Every day I’m amazed at the people I meet wanting to learn more about the cannabis industry. It’s not potheads and stoners, it’s patients, parents and professionals.” Dhar Mann founder He further noted that UniCann’s first graduating class in Oakland …

Question by Washdcwhc: How does Oprah Winfrey feel about legalizing marijuana?
Drug lords would go out of business.

Marijuana would be highly regulated by the govt., perhaps by prescription only. Legalization should be decided on a State level.

Lesser criminals in prison. More room in prison and more time for law enforcment to nail the real criminals……the rapists and murderers.

Imagine the tax revenue, high sales tax, license fees for distrubtors.

Lesser crime, duh!

Lesser people drinking.

Could this help the U.S. Economy?

What does Oprah think about this?

Question by Derek T: What are the chances Tom Ammiano’s bill to legalize marijuana in California is passed?
There are 51 out of 80 Dems in the lower assembly, 25 out of 40 in the upper assembly, so 11 Dems in the lower and 5 in the upper could vote against it and it would still pass. I highly doubt that the Governator would veto such a bill. But then the federal government could invalidate the whole thing if they decided to enforce the Illegal Substances Act in California.

I’d love to hear an answer from someone with some expertise, rather than just see this degenerate into an argument over whether weed should/shouldn’t be legal.

Best answer:

Answer by gomanyes
I don’t think it will pass. Democrats are treading on very light ground right now, and they wouldn’t want to vote for anything that will alienate moderate voters before the next election.
